Boniface beats Kane to win Player of the Month award
Victor Boniface has been named Bundesliga Player of the Month for August.
Boniface beat Bayern Munich forward, Harry Kane, to the individual accolade.
The 22-year-old also won the Bundesliga Rookie Player of the Month for August.
The striker scored three goals in two league outings for Bayer Leverkusen in the month under review.
Boniface joined Die Werkself from Belgian Pro League club Union St Gilloise this summer.
He is expected to be in action when Xabi Alonso’s side take on defending champions Bayer Leverkusen this weekend
