In a bold move to revamp their squad, Chelsea is set to undergo a major overhaul this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino eyeing the exit of 15 first-team players.

After a disappointing campaign that saw the Blues finish a dismal 12th in the Premier League, the club is determined to bounce back and build a team capable of challenging for silverware once again.

And they believe they can generate a staggering £280 million from player sales to fuel their ambitious plans.

Following an unprecedented spending spree last season, which saw the arrival of numerous new faces without an adequate clear-out, the Chelsea squad became overcrowded.

Players were forced to change outside the dressing room due to space constraints, highlighting the urgent need to streamline the team.

With the managerial position now secured by Pochettino, who was unveiled as the club’s new manager this week, he wasted no time in making his mark.

His first major decision was to inform Joao Felix, the loanee from Atletico Madrid, that he would not be signed permanently, indicating a fresh start under the Argentine’s leadership.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea has identified a total of 15 players they are willing to offload this summer, aiming to generate a substantial £280 million in transfer fees.

At the top of the list is Mason Mount, a highly talented midfielder who could command a fee of £75 million. With just one year remaining on his contract, Chelsea hopes to capitalize on Mount’s market value, with Manchester United reportedly keen on securing his services.

Another player on the departure list is Conor Gallagher, who impressed during his loan spell at Crystal Palace last season.

The 21-year-old midfielder is valued at £40 million, attracting interest from various clubs. Mateo Kovacic, a midfielder coveted by Manchester City, could also be available for a fee of £35 million, as Chelsea looks to reshape its midfield options.

The Blues are open to offers for goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, defender Trevoh Chalobah, and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is reportedly a target for AC Milan.

Christian Pulisic, the versatile forward, could also be on his way out of Stamford Bridge for a fee of £25 million.

Surprisingly, Callum Hudson-Odoi, once a target for Bayern Munich, is available for a mere £10 million, and Nottingham Forest is rumored to be interested in securing his services.

Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta could be sold for just £5 million, a bargain for any potential suitors. In a shocking development, N’Golo Kante’s contract is set to expire, making the influential midfielder a free agent.

Similarly, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could depart without a transfer fee.

As loan spells come to an end, Joao Felix will return to Atletico Madrid, and Denis Zakaria will head back to Juventus.

There are also rumors of a potential loan move for Kalidou Koulibaly to Turin, further reshaping Chelsea’s defensive options.

While offloading 15 players would be a considerable undertaking for the club, the potential £280 million windfall would not only recoup a significant portion of their previous investments but also provide Pochettino with substantial funds to reshape the squad according to his vision.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Chelsea’s activity in the market will undoubtedly be closely monitored.

The departure of several high-profile players could pave the way for new signings and a fresh start for the Blues under Pochettino’s guidance.

With their sights set on reclaiming their position among English football’s elite, Chelsea’s ambitious revamp signals a new era for the Blues.
