Ex-Chelsea forward claims it’s unfair to compare Jackson with Drogba

Former Chelsea forward, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has claimed that it is unfair to compare Nicolas Jackson’s style of play to that of the club’s legend Didier Drogba.

Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal for £32 million earlier this summer transfer window.

The Senegalese international has slotted straight into Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

When asked about Jackson’s potential, Hasselbaink said the 22-year-old has a ‘lot of potential’ but added that we should not compare him to Drogba because they are totally different.

“They are totally different. If you talk about Didier Drogba that is not fair on the boy,” Hasselbaink said to Sky Sports during Friday Night Football.

“But we all know that his runs, his work rate is absolutely magnificent.”
