Gianluigi Donnarumma and his girlfriend assaulted and tied in home robbery
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (24) and his girlfriend have been the victims of a violent robbery in their Paris home, according to a report from Actu17 and later confirmed by AFP.
The Italian goalkeeper and his girlfriend were physically assaulted and then tied up by several men that broke into their Parisian home last night. The robbers walked away with loot valued at around €500.000.
The media understand that the victims of the robbery have managed to take shelter in a nearby luxury hotel at 3.20am where they have been taken care of. The hotel workers then called the police. Understandably in a state of shock, Donnarumma and his partner were taken to hospital to receive additional care. The investigation regarding the robbery has fallen into the hands of Brigade de répression du banditisme, a division of the Paris Judicial Police.
Unfortunately, Donnarumma is not the only PSG player to fall victim to a house robbery. Angel Di Maria, Marquinhos, Sergio Rico, Mauro Icardi and Thiago Silva have also been the subjects of robberies.
