Guardiola give opinion on who to win Balloon d'or between Haaland and Messi
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has given his opinion on the winner of the 2023 Ballon d'Or between his star striker, Erling Haaland, and seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, Lionel Messi.
- Guardiola believes Haaland deserves to win the award based on his achievements with Manchester City, but says Messi deserves the trophy for his role in Argentina's triumph at the 2022 World Cup.
- Guardiola also reiterated his position that Messi should have his own separate Ballon d'Or category in recognition of his superiority to every other player.
