Jim Ratcliffe is close to purchasing 25% stake in Manchester United
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the founder of INEOS, is said to be close to purchasing a 25% stake in Manchester United after his rival, Sheikh Jassim, withdrew his interest in the club.
- Sheikh Jassim, a Qatari billionaire, is said to have abandoned his attempts to purchase the club because he was unable to negotiate a full takeover from the club's American owners, the Glazer family.
