Man Utd & Saudi club agree Alex Telles' deal and player set to earn £7m per year
Alex Telles’ £4million move from Manchester United to Al-Nassr is back on despite concerns it may have fallen through.
The deal had been agreed between United and the Saudi Arabian club, and Telles even posed in an Al-Nassr shirt after agreeing personal terms of £7m-a-year.
But there was speculation in the Middle East that Al-Nassr had walked away from the deal and were looking at other left-back options.
However, it’s understood that Telles is still set to make a move to the Saudi Pro League with United expecting the move to go ahead.
Telles was a £15.4m signing from FC Porto in 2020 and made 50 appearances across two years before spending last season on loan at Sevilla.
The 30-year-old Brazilian has fallen behind Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia in Erik ten Hag’s plans and needed a fresh start.
Telles will join his old United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr and a number of other Premier League players who have moved to the Middle East.
United defender Eric Bailly is also said to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia as he seeks a new club.
The Ivory Coast defender has no future at Old Trafford and has stayed in England to train while the rest of the squad flew out to the US on a pre-season trip.
Dean Henderson and Anthony Elanga are both on the trip despite attracting strong interest from Nottingham Forest.
