Pochettino reveals only problem with Nicolas Jackson’s display for Chelsea against Liverpool

Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that his only problem with striker Nicolas Jackson’s display for the Blues against Liverpool was that the striker was a bit isolated during the encounter.

Pochettino insisted that Jackson needs more support from his teammates, adding that his performance against Liverpool was fantastic.

Jackson featured as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday.

Luis Diaz and Axel Disasi scored a goal for their respective clubs.

Speaking about Jackson’s performance, Pochettino said after the game: “I think he was fantastic. We knew him because he was playing in Spain last season – I used to live in Spain, I spent a lot of time there.

“The only problem was that he was a little bit isolated sometimes, and sometimes he needed more help.

“He was fighting really well, I am very happy with his performance, but I think like a team and like a coach, we need to provide for him and play closer to him and help him.”
