Rivers United defeated Enyimba 2-0 in a friendly encounter at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday night.

Yao Bernard and Nyima Nwagua scored both goals for Stanley Eguma’s side.

Rivers United goalkeeper, Abiodun Akande denied Enyimba from the penalty spot in the first half.

Alex Oyowah set up Bernard for the opening goal in the 63rd minute.

Rivers United captain, Nwagua scored the second late in the game.

Rivers United goalkeeper will now shift attention to their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso
