"The Champions League final is the most important game of my career"

City's Rodri spoke ahead of their UCL final against Inter.

Manchester City's Rodrigo Hernandez said that next Saturday's Champions League final is "the most important game of his career".

The Spanish midfielder won the FA Cup on Saturday, beating Manchester United in the final, and can complete the treble next weekend against Inter Milan in Istanbul.

"It's a great joy to have won the FA Cup, it's a very important title. After a great year, we still have the last little step to go and we could have an incredible season," Rodri told the Spanish media in the mixed zone, confirming that he will celebrate tonight.

"You always have to celebrate, because things are difficult, right from the first round. I remember that in the first rounds we were up against very difficult opponents. United in the final, who are always a tough nut to crack. We always have to celebrate. It's an important part. Obviously, knowing that you have a final next Saturday.

Regarding the final against Inter, Rodri commented that they have been working hard to be in these situations and that the team's maturity compared to other years has been key.

"We're growing a lot, we're going to try to go out with the best possible attitude, like the day against Madrid, with that wound healed. With that desire to turn the situation around and dreaming that we can win. We feel that the team has gained a lot of maturity, a lot of alternatives, with a high level all year. Our confidence is in our work, we have the utmost confidence for the match".
