Tony Cascarino names Chelsea-bound star as best summer signing

Former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino said the club could complete one of the ‘best signings of the summer’ if they land Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.

Cascarino, who played 40 matches for Chelsea and scored eight goals, says it’s vital the Blues get the deal for the Ecuador international over the line as they seek a replacement for N’Golo Kante following his move to Saudi Arabia.

“I think this is a necessity for Chelsea,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.

“Losing N’Golo Kante, it’s now about who is the next best thing and who can they have for a long time?

“Moises Caicedo fits that bill…

“Caidedo is such a great athlete. I think it will be one of the best signings of the summer if they can get that one over the line.”
