Top counties qualify for 2030 world cup
FIFA has confirmed that Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay have all been given automatic qualification spots for the 2030 World Cup.
- The three countries will host the three opening matches of the tournament and will not have to go through the qualification process.
- On Wednesday, FIFA had announced that only Spain, Portugal, and Morocco would be given automatic qualification, but this was later updated to include the three South American countries.
- The South American region will also have the chance to qualify for the tournament via a play-off against a team from another continent.
