Buhari’s Ex-aide Reveals Who Will Become New Minister Of Petroleum

Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s ex-Communication aide, Bashir Ahmad, has revealed who will become the new Minister of Petroleum.

President Tinubu, who announced the full list of ministerial portfolios on Wednesday, failed to name a minister of petroleum resources but split the ministry into two.

Recall that during the immediate-past administration, Buhari assigned the ministry to himself and named Timipre Sylva as the Minister of State for Petroleum.

In a post via Twitter on Thursday, Ahmad claimed that Tinubu is the potential minister of Petroleum Resources.

According to him, Tinubu would be taking after former Presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu Buhari, who opted to assign the ministry to themselves.

He wrote: “President Bola Tinubu is our potential Minister of Petroleum Resources. He will be following in the footsteps of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu Buhari, who occupied the post during their tenures.

“This time there are two junior ministers under the Ministry, a Minister of State for Petroleum and a Minister of State for Gas Resources.”
