The Court of Appeal has overturned a tribunal judgement that declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Mannir Babba Danagudi the winner of the House of Representatives election in Kumbotso, Kano State.
The appellate court found that the lower court had committed a legal error by prioritising the issue of the candidate's certificate instead of hearing his challenge of non-compliance with the Electoral Act by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
