Exploding Head Syndrome: The Noise You Don't Want to Hear Before Bedtime - MirrorLog

Did you hear a loud noise in your head, like a bomb went off, while you're falling asleep or waking up? That might be Exploding Head Syndrome. It sounds scary, but it's not dangerous. But here are some ways to make it less frequent:

👍🏼 Relax, don't stress too much. Take a yoga class or meditate like a pro.

👍🏼 Sleep like a baby, have a regular sleep schedule and make sure your bed is comfortable.

👍🏼 Take some medicine if your doctor says it's okay.

👍🏼 Talk to a therapist, they can teach you how to deal with the noise in your head and make it less scary.

EHS can be managed with some relaxation techniques, maintaining good sleep hygiene, medications (if prescribed by a doctor) and therapy. Don't let the loud noise in your head get the best of you, take control and make it less frequent.
