- The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria, DICON, Bill and the Armed Forces Trust Fund Bill were passed by the 9th Assembly but did not receive presidential assent.
- The House believes that enacting these bills into law would provide critical support for the nation's defence and security agencies.
- The deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has called for the speedy assent of these bills.
